Mountain lambs are now six months plus, the meat flavour is slightly deeper. The flavour of the mountains and the sea shore, heather sweetened, seaside-seasoned. Is there anything nicer in the evening than coming in after a cold wet day and sitting down to enjoy a hearty, tasty casserole or stew. Made with our lamb, it tastes even better the second day, when the vegetable and potatoes absorb the rich flavours – easy-peasy, everything in.

In this purchase you will receive a whole lamb, butchered into its component parts/joints. This offer is excellent value for money, the lamb is packed ready for your deep freeze, labelled and boxed and sent as fresh meat to you .When you receive the boxed lamb you can put the labelled packs into your freezer straight away. It keeps in your freezer for a minimum of three months. Everything is done at Calvey’s on Achill Island in the old fashioned artisan way, and all for just 119 Euro.

When you buy a whole lamb online or from our shop, it is expertly crafted and butchered into its component parts, including joints, cuts and chops. We place the lamb meat in freezer bags ready for your deep freeze and clearly labelled showing you what’s in each transparent bag.
When you order/buy an Achill®Mountain Lamb, Grainne will discuss your individual requirements and preferences with you. She will explain every cut and joint and she will craft the lamb tailor made to your family requirements. You will receive your butchered and crafted Achill®Mountain Lamb in a specially selected insulated box to ensure freshness is not compromised on delivery. Answer: You will receive a whole lamb with all its component parts/joints butchered to your requirements portion packed in freezer bags, each bag being clearly labelled, including liver and kidneys.

You will be pleasantly surprised with the amount of lamb meat you receive for 159 €, it is genuinely excellent value for money because you are buying direct from Calvey’s Farm Abattoir and Butchers with no middle man/agent.
